The British Phonographic Industry has recognized Burna Boy's smash tune "Last Last" with a gold-level certification. Sales of over 500,000 copies in the UK were reportedly enough to earn 'Last Last' a certification, according to Chart Data.

This certification serves as more evidence of the song's international popularity and success.  ‘Last Last’ is one of the 19 tracks in his sixth and most recent album ‘Love Damini’.

Speaking in an interview with an American podcast, Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Burna Boy explained that the instrumentals of the song was inspired by the Toni Braxton classic record "He Wasn't Man Enough". He successfully persuaded his record producer, Chopsticks, to help him realize his dream. The Afrobeats superstar added that he doesn't mind Braxton earning most of the royalties because he's just happy to be making music.

Reports indicate that Braxton takes 60% of the song’s royalties.  Burna Boy also revealed plans to release the remix version of the song featuring UK rapper Santan Dave. The remix spells an additional boost to the song's popularity and a potential shot at a platinum certification in the UK as well.
