NEW MUSIC: Monumental Atemi, Lady Jaydee Collabo!

Once in a while, two musical minds come together and change the perception and reception of music forever! They take their individual ideas and merge them with their musical abilities and give rise forth to a creation of immense ability; a song of the ages.

And this time these two happen to be ​​Kenya’s power vocalist Atemi and Tanzanian songbird Lady Jaydee, with their release MOYO - a bonafide East African love song.

This is Atemi's first song collaboration with another lady. She says, “We really hit it off! I respect Lady Jaydee very much; she’s a talented artist and an easy to work with African singer. She really put her all into the song.” 

MOYO is a song about different love situations. No matter how tempestuous, passionate or romantic love is in all the scenarios in the song; love is love. Written by Atemi Oyungu, MOYO is Atemi’s debut single from her upcoming third album. The song has been produced by renown Kenyan producer R-Kay, also producer of Atemi’s USIJALI featuring Delvin Savara of Sauti Sol.

Atemi says of the zouk-esque MOYO, “This is a sound that I have been trying out and like very much. But fear not my neo soul fans - there will also still be a touch of soul on the upcoming album!”
