Popular gospel musician David Wonder in collaboration with fast-rising star Alpha Mwana Mteule has released a new track dubbed 'Rhumba Ya Nzambe'. The new release presents a unique flavour of music that fuses gospel with Rhumba. It is not just the beat of the song that brings out the Rhumba vibes, but also the flow of the song and melodies used by the two artists.
Alpha Mwana Mteule takes the first verse of the song before David Wonders joins him in the chorus. The chemistry between the two singers is seamless and fluid. Their voices complement each other with a smooth transition between them.
The message in the song has been drawn from The Bible in the book of Jeremiah 31:4. It preaches about Christians rejoicing and dancing for God. Mtule however starts out with the Story in Genesis chapter 1.
It is important to note the impeccable talent Alpha posses as he's been in the limelight with his comical imitation of the famed Dj Afro. Throughout his career, we've seen him being mentored by Kenyan comedian YY and together they've also had two beautiful gospel songs dubbed 'Tng'ang'ane' and Amen.
The audio has been produced by Alexis On The Beat. The video, on the other hand, has been directed by Slim Mapoz. The video bears creative simple shots that feature only the singers.
'Rhumba ya Nambe' comes approximately three months after David Wonder released 'Nobody' featuring Renez. The two songs have been received with a lot of positivity among the fans.
David wonder has been praised by fans for being one of the few artists who stood with gospel music despite a recent wave that saw the majority of gospel musicians switch to secular music. One of the latest musicians to join the wave is veteran singer Ringtone.
