Sensational Kenyan musician Iyanii has won big at the Magic Vibe awards where he was named the best east African new artist. The singer, who is currently flying high with 'Furaha Remix' featuring Tanzanian star Harmonize, took to his social media pages where he expressed gratitude to his fans. He acknowledged that it was through the support of his fans that he has been able to maintain a successful track record.
The 'Pombe' hitmaker was congratulated both by his fans and fellow artists for the achievement. Among the artists who congratulated him were Tanzanian singer Kusah and veteran Kenyan rapper Kenrazy.
Iyanii had been nominated in the category of Best East African New Artist alongside Ibraah (Tanzania), Smile The Genius (Tanzania), Rapcha (Tanzania), Platini P (Rwanda), and Marioo (Tanzania).
The youngster shot to fame after his song 'Pombe' went viral on the internet. The song gained millions of views and streams on various music platforms. Iyanii has since then climbed up the ladder with top trending hit songs and now ranks among the most sought-after East African musicians.
Magic Vibe Awards celebrates various personalities in the entertainment scene from music to sports. Other top Kenyan artists who were also awarded include; Otile Brown, Sauti Sol, Diamond, Femi One, and comedian Eric Omondi.
