Stonebwoy Hints Release Date for New Album

Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats songstress Wendy Shay will release her 

Ghanaian dancehall, Afropop and reggae artist Stonebwoy is working on a new musical project set for release on November 4, 2022. 

He posted a short video of him while in the studio and captioned it; “11/04/22”. However, he did not clearly state if it was a single, an album or an EP that he is currently working on but our guess is that it will be a new Stonebwoy project. 

Stonebwoy was recently featured by Gentleman, a prominent German reggae and dancehall singer in his latest release ‘Can’t Lock The Dance’. Jugglerz produced this new tune. His fans can’t have enough of him especially because it’s been a while since he released a new song.

Stonebwoy runs Burniton Music Group as its CEO. He was named Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards as well as Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET Awards. 

Additionally, the 34-year-old has received two Billboard plaques. He rightfully earned the status of reggae and dance hall king of Africa.  He signed with Def Jam Recordings and its flagship label, Def Jam Recordings Africa, in 2022.

He recalls composing and acting in theatre pieces as far back as the fourth year of primary school which is when he first understood his strengths and talents as a lyricist and scriptwriter.

In the same academic year as rapper Sarkodie – whom he schooled with - he attended Methodist Day Secondary School, where he earned his high school diploma. In 2013, he completed his post-secondary studies at the University of Professional Studies and received a degree in marketing.

Stonebwoy’s last project was his 2020 released Anloga Junction album. Fans will be expecting that the legendary Ghana music icon will keep to his words and feed his fans good music come the 4th of November 2022.
