Sensational Kenyan singer Otile Brown has pleaded with various stakeholders in the music industry to allow East African artists to try different styles of music. In a statement that the 'Jeraha' hitmaker shared on his social media pages, he explained why it was high time for musicians to be versatile.

According to Otile Brown, much monotony is currently being witnessed among East African musicians. He explained that musicians are repeating melodies and arrangements of songs.

Otile Brown issued the statement while responding to critics who had shown negative light on his recent music projects. The star has in the past recent months embarked on expanding his fan base by singing in English. He pointed out that despite the criticism, he will never get tired of trying new styles and sounds of music.

The singer was also quick to add that he will still gift his loyal fans with Swahili songs while at the same time continuing with his venture into other styles of music.

"Jaribu Mtupe nafasi wasanii wa east Africa ku jaribu sound na vibes tofauti #siokuiga ila kubuni .. tazama wasanii wanavyojirudia melody zile zile, flow , sauti na arrangement.. mimi nyimbo za Kiswahili ntawapa ila sitochoka kujaribu kufanya nyimbo zakimataifa kisa woga .. mwanzo na shoot sempre na fine by me baada ya break yangu ya miezi miwili ... got two collaborations "featured"on the way though just to keep y'all busy as I take my break," Otile Brown's social media post read.
