The second half of the year is on a northwards incline as far as music in Ghana is concerned. Ghanaian artists, as usual, never disappoint. These artists work hard to spread awareness of West African music beyond the continent.
The beauty is that they frequently work together and see massive success at home and abroad. Thus, here are the trending songs in Ghana.
1. Kakyere Me - Bisa Kdei
Known for his work in the highlife genre, Bisa Kdei dropped this beautiful tune, "Kakyere Me." It is his second single of the year 2022, following his song "Love You," which includes Ghanaian Afro-pop singer KiDi.
2. I Can't Stop Praising - Joe Mettle
This Joe Mettle tune is a collection of notes on several topics, including thanks, appreciation, love, joy, salvation, and faith. On the record, he features Nigerian gospel musician, Eben.
Kaywa produced the record for Highly Spiritual Studios.
3. M'misah - Fancy Gadam ft Mona
This brand new Fancy Gadam tune "M'Missami” features Mona 4Reall and Gee Mob66. It is his fourth single for the year.
4. Kaba – Camidoh
‘Kaba’ produced by UglyxTough now serves as a follow-up to this chart-topping record, ‘Sugarcane’.
5. Put You On - King Promise
King Promise provides this thoughtfully arranged track which can be found on his album titled 5 Star album. The Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats artist expresses his thoughts on love in a unique manner throughout the song.
Several producers among them JAE5, Rexxie, KillBeatz, GuiltyBeatz, and Spanker helped produce the project.
6. Friday Night – Lasmid
An emerging star in the Ghanaian music scene, Lasmid made an impression with this self-produced track; ‘Friday Night’. Since the release of this gigantic track, he has received a great deal of praise and admiration.
7. Kuacha - Samsney ft Kelvyn Boy, Black Sherif & Darkovibes
This incredible track, titled "Kuacha," was produced by the talented Ghanaian musician Samsney and had vocal contributions from Black Sherif, Kelvyn Boy, and DarkoVibes. This song is a follow-up to his single titled "Goldigga," which features the in-demand Ghana hip hop artiste, Black Sherif.
