The increased competition in the Kenyan music industry has led to the production of new hit songs. The newly released songs have dominated the airwaves and taken over various music trending charts. The new wave of releasing music back to back has gotten both veteran and new generation artists on their feet.

Freshi Barida Remix - Stevo Simple Boy Ft Ntosh Gazi, Mejja & Exray
Renowned rapper Stivo Simple Boy is currently riding high with his new release 'Freshi Barida' remix featuring Ntosh Gazi, Mejja, and Exray. The release of the remix comes after the original version of the 'Freshi Barida' song received immense success. The contribution from South African Amapiano star Ntosh Gazi, and Gengetone stars Mejja and Exray, made the remix more versatile.
'Freshi Barida' remix has been treated to a warm reception among the fans and has gained thousands of views within a short duration of its publication on YouTube.

Popular Gengetone rapper Trio Mio has released a new song dubbed 'Dweet (Do It)' in collaboration with A-Pass and Masauti. The rapper praises the late Tom Mboya and his contribution to the independence of Kenya. The song bears a combination of old school and new school music. The rapper has received a lot of praise for his choice of theme in the song and the poetic delivery of the message.

Mbuzi Gang's lead man Furthermore has dominated the trending charts with his new song 'Kwaito' featuring Gengetaone stars Ssaru, Iphoolish and Exray Taniua. Coastal musician Brown Mauzo has released a new love song 'Tell Me'. In the song, the singer through his melodious voice showers praise to the love of his life. The song has a combination of Bongo and RnB genres. 'Tell Me' is Brown Mauzo fourth song this year after the release of 'Body' featuring Ndovu Kuu, 'Naoa' and 'Moyo Wangu'.
