Ghana's music star Kuami Eugene has named six of his best Nigerian artists.

The Wish Me Well singer is preparing to release his ‘Rags to Riches’ EP, a project expected to be one of the biggest music projects of the year. He however yet to disclose which Nigerian artists will be on the EP.

He told Echo Room Nigeria during a recent interview that he will release the album in September and will also feature international artists.

‘I’m putting beautiful music, maybe I’ll have some few singles out there and takeaways on ‘Rags To Riches’. So ‘Rags to Riches’ has some international collaborations,” he stated.

He also revealed that he follows Nigerian music and artists every day because they always have new stuff to offer. He named his favourite Nigerian acts at the moment as Victony, Evi, Joeboy, Fireboy, Oxlade and Fave. Kuami opines that the Afrobeat market is now huge and it’s time to make that count.

“I realized the door has actually opened for Afrobeat and the market is growing each and every day so this is the time for us to grab this opportunity and put that good work out there. So I’m coming hard this time around,” Kuami remarked.

The ‘Confusion’ hitmaker said his icons back home are Daddy Lumba and Amakye  - legendary highlife artists who shaped the industry.
