To celebrate her 30th birthday, talented Ghana music Queen, MzVee released her new album ‘10Thirty’ on Friday, 24th June 2022. 

The album houses ten tracks with a number of high-profile features from Ghana, Tanzania and Nigeria.  Bella Shmurda, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Stonebwoy, Kwesi Arthur Kofi Kinaata, and East African music icon, Harmonize all made the cut. 

Announcing the arrival of the project via her Instagram page, MzVee showed appreciation to featured artists while also letting listeners know that the music in the project will appease different types of audiences. 

“10 years.. 10 solid tracks!! There’s something in there for everyone. Thank you to my producer @kizzybeat and to all the amazing artists who featured on this amazing album.. @harmonize_tz @kwesiarthur_ @bella_shmurda @kinaatagh @yemialade @stonebwoy @djhenryx_ @tiwasavage,” she wrote. 

MzVee pointed out, that a decade in the Ghanaian music industry has been a rollercoaster for her and she captures it all in the album.

The album is the first step of the next phase in her music career. She is hopeful that people throughout the world will hear her story and there is no better way to tell it than with her music. 

Speaking at the album's listening party in Accra days before its launch, MzVee stated that the ‘10Thirty’ is highly personal to her. It’s her second album after being an independent musician, and it is also her comeback after taking a year off from music in 2021. She recounted her journey and claimed that she had to take a break because she spent so much time trying to adapt to what people expected of her as a music celebrity. The short hiatus has now paid off with a really good project.
