Revered Mavins Records boss Don Jazzy has won admiration after reaching out to upcoming artists with some words of encouragement.

The music mogul and businessman took to Twitter recently to encourage new artists.  From experience, he wittily advised this lot never to give up even when things turn against them because that’s how it always starts.

"Dear artists, please keep up the hustle, it hasn’t picked yet does not mean that you are not who you are,” read his tweet. He captioned the post with a photo of Mavins-signed artist Crayon, saying that the ‘So Fine’ singer was having a time of his life. Jazzy was referencing to Crayon’s humble beginnings which later gave him a meteoric rise in the industry. He extolled the talent of the relatively new artist who has been getting rave reviews from fans for his amazing hook on ‘Overdose’

Don Jazzy wants other artists to learn from Crayon's perseverance and patience, despite the fact that he had to wait a long time for fame and recognition. Though many aspiring artists lack Crayon's resources which he now enjoys courtesy of his label, Don Jazzy believes that never giving up is the first step towards this success.

His tweet will serve as a morale boost for others who are still waiting for their day in the spotlight. D'banj and Don Jazzy founded the now-defunct Mo'Hits Record Label, where the latter initially became celebrated as a producer. In 2012, he founded Mavin Records following the breakup of Mo'Hits with D'Banj. Since then, he has continued to bless the Nigerian music industry with talented singers.
