As the first half of the year 2022 comes to an end, the Kenyan music scene has been characterized by
new songs from established artists. One unique factor about the new releases is the fact that the songs have been tailored to satisfy various tastes and preferences. Among the crucial themes that were addressed in the new songs were politics, motherhood, gospel and many others. Here are the newly released Kenyan hit songs that are dominating the airwaves:
Blueticks - Khaligraph Jones ft. Femi One
Multi-award-winning rapper Khaligraph Jones teamed up with Femi One to release a new hardcore Hip-hop song dubbed 'Blueticks'. Each of the rappers goes hard and fast on the song as they spit the punchlines. Khaligraph takes the first verse while Femi One does justice to the second verse. She did remarkably well considering the fact that Khaligraph is an energetic and fast rapper, her ability to catch up with him and create seamless chemistry is commendable.
Maliza Na Pombe - King Kaka, Iyanii, Layonn, Exray Taniua, Kuky, Ssaru, Joefes
'Maliza Na Pombe' is an all-star hit song as it features top-established artists who are currently at the peak of their careers in music. Spearheaded by veteran rapper King Kaka, the artists display utmost skill in the delivery of the punchlines in the song. This is a feel-good song that advocates for taking some time off a busy schedule to have fun.
The original version of the song was released four weeks ago and it featured Sol Generation stars Nviiri The Storyteller and Bensoul. It received a warm reception from fans and motivated King Kaka to work on its remix.
