The theme for the International Women’s Day 2022 is ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. By this, women are seeking a world free of bias and any sort of discrimination.

In being vocal and intentional about equal rights for women, we have seen women break the norms in their careers and at home.

For that, the African music industry has also grown tremendously over years. Women are now fully involved in the technical production of music which was previously dominated by men. Though still on the path to fight for equality we have seen women artists creating music around the empowerment of women in different cultures across the continent.
