DJ Judy Jay Lands 2 Gigs after Making Return to Entertainment Industry

South African DJ Judy Jay’s apology seems to have worked magic as she landed two major gigs moments later. She landed a job as a resident DJ at Lesedi FM where she will be entertaining fans alongside DJ Lovers SA.

“Well, in other news Judy Jay is now your New Monthly Radio Resident DJ on one of the biggest SABC Radio Stations in SA!! On Saturdays 00h30 catch me on Lesedi FM with DJ Lovers SA!! Let’s make it shake,” she posted this on her Facebook page.

In addition, she got two performances in Swaziland and Lesotho – her first gigs outside South Africa.

DJ Judy made a comeback recently after exiting the entertainment industry. She said that she never thought about her fans when she exited the music scene.

“I am so sorry. Not only to myself for doing what I did and actually thinking that the music in me would just fade away. I am so sorry to you my fellow supporter/follower for letting you down the way I did. I honestly had no right to do such after the amount of time and energy you have invested in me,” she wrote on Facebook.

DJ Judy explained that she was battling a mental issue as well as anxiety and she thought that quitting music would help her heal but it didn’t.

“I am going through the most. I am suffering from a mental issue and anxiety and I thought leaving it all to go deal with it away from the music would help but instead it made things worse.

“I would like to say that I am coming back where I belong and will allow the music to be part of my healing process. May I please ask that you walk this journey with me as I rediscover and fix myself,” her statement read.
