Zex Bilangilangi Hails Bebe Cool for Appreciating his Talent

Fast-rising Ugandan artist Zex Bilangilangi has appreciated Gagamel boss Bebe Cool for including him among his list of best Ugandan artists of 2021.

While announcing his list of top artists in 2021, Bebe Cool hailed Zex noting that he had grown musically, adding that his song ‘Magazine’ was one of the biggest hits of 2021.

In an interview with Kookie Promotions, Zex Blangilangi thanked Bebe Cool for recognizing his talent. He further noted that he respects the Gagamel boss despite being under Bobi Wine's camp (Firebase Crew).

"It's a big blessing and I respect him as a big artist, an inspiration to this industry, a big and mega star. I don't despise him but I have respect for him as a big general. If he has blessed and appreciated me this year, who am I? Not that I'm the very best artist but he picked me out,"  Zex Bilangilangi said.

When Zex Bilangilangi broke through in 2020 with his hit song 'Ratata', Bebe Cool included him on his list as a promising artist. In his post, Bebe Cool termed Zex as a 'Firebase Criminal' but he doesn't harbor any ill feelings towards him.

"We are slowly being recognized for our talent. Maybe this was a way of appreciating me but people perceived it in a different way. Any person who loves and respects the work you do, will talk about you. They talk about people who have something to show off and I appreciate every complement; good or bad," he said.
