Emtee Calls for Unity of South African Rappers

South African rapper Emtee has sent a special appeal to South African hip-hop artists to unite and offer a hand of support to each other.

A few days ago, Emtee posted a photo on his socials hanging out with Nasty C and Blxckie.

The photo went viral across the country and elicited massive debate on social media, with many wondering what was in the offing from the three.

“SA hip hop gotta unite,” part of Emtee’s tweet read adding “we don’t have to be friends”.

This is not the first time Emtee has called for unity and support in the industry.

Recently, he made reference to his ‘We Up’ song, noting that there are people who pretend to love and support you, only to change tune when they you get popular.

In the successful song, Emtee spoke on what black people call the "bring him down syndrome."

“Everybody wants you to be successful until you become successful then everybody tryna pull you down,” he posted.
