Top Ugandan gospel artist Levixone has teamed up with dancehall musician Mikie Wine on a new gospel song titled 'Guno Omwaka'.

In 'Guno Omwaka' (loosely translated from Luganda to mean 'This Year'), the two artists prophesy good and positive things to happen to them this year. Mikie Wine starts off with his version of the Lord's Prayer as he asks God to release him from the shackles of pain this new year.

Levixone comes through in the second verse putting behind all the bad things that happened last year, and hopes for the best in 2022.

Although the beats are quite different from Levixone's usual music style, the gospel crooner perfectly complements Mikie Winie's hardcore dancehall vibe to execute this jam that cuts across all religious beliefs.

This is the type of jam to get you out of the stereotype that gospel music is always boring as it creates some hype that will get you up on your feet.

The audio was produced by Japo Pan Beat while the video is yet to be released.

This is not the first time Levixone is working on a project with a secular artist. In a previous interview, the 'Chikibombe' hit maker amidst criticism revealed that interacting with secular artistes is one of the best avenues to bring them closer to God.
