Kabz de Small, Musa Keys Win Admiration from Canadian Singer Lonely Boy

Amapiano bigwigs Kabza de Small and Musa Keys have won admiration from Canadian RnB star Lonely Boy.

The Canadian singer praised the duo for their music creation prowess as Amapiano continues to take the world by storm.

He rightfully called them ‘musical geniuses’. While speaking to South African magazine S Mag, the international celebrity acknowledged his admiration for Amapiano and the brains behind it.

Lonely Boy’s praise for Kabz and Musa came from the fact that their creativity made it possible to infuse Amapiano beats into RnB.

“I think merging the R&B sound with Amapiano beats made by Kabza and Musa would really result in a masterpiece track. Their execution when it comes to composing a song is truly admirable hence a song with them would truly be an honour,” Lonely Boy stated.

Lonely Boy is a rising star in the R&B scene. His music has been described as "sultry, nostalgic, and full of energy," all while maintaining a distinct blend of R&B, soul, and pop.

He says that as a child he felt isolated and misunderstood because of dark skin tone. He lacked the confidence to express himself which is how his artistic name, 'Lonely Boy'.

He first wrote about his sadness following his first breakup in 2018 because he thought there must be other people going through what he was experiencing.

For Lonely Boy, the pandemic was a blessing in disguise. It allowed his virtual shows to finally receive the attention they merited because of his lifelong passion for Africa and yearning to return home.

The Canadian singer says he was should have visited South Africa in 2020 for a vacation but the pandemic happened. However, the fact that his music has reached South African listeners gives him a sense of empowerment adding that back in Canada, he feels somewhat neglected.

The soulful singer, whose ancestry is a mix of Trinidadian and Nigerian descent, has made it his aim to embrace his roots and incorporate them into his artistic persona.
