DJ Ready D Responds to Criticism over His Recent Amapiano Remix

DJ Ready D has retaliated against the bad reaction he received from Amapiano fans after he remixed a popular song. Many Amapiano fans turned to social media to express their displeasure with the remix of Gayor Manor and Nektunz's Ameno.

DJ Ready gave a brief comment following the heat, stating that music is continuously evolving and that he was experimenting with the track in the wake of the criticism.

“This video upset many. All I’m doing is experimenting with audio visuals & sounds - this is the essence of a #HipHop #DJ. This music was influenced by many genres incl. Funk,soul, reggae, disco,etc - Your sacred #Amapiano was also birthed by other genres. I #love #music & #evolving,” he tweeted.

With all the flack around the Amapiano mixing, DJ Ready maintained that such negativity is part of the job as an entertainer. He said the negative feedback is expected but he is all about evolving.

Some of his supporters told critics to first understand what he was doing before bashing him.

"The fact that so many people fail to understand what's happening here, failing to understand what you do, and most of all, disrespecting a legend. Hayi no man. Keep rocking grandmaster,” a netizen said.

 Another fan, Shirwin said, “Don't stop Ready keep going, in fact continue to do mash ups on the sacred #Amapiano and show these youngings how its done. If they can't be inspired by your artistry then it's just pure ignorance.”
