Ever since he joined politics, Bobi Wine moved from love songs to issue-based music that mainly focuses on politics, democracy, human rights, lawlessness and police brutality among others.
The new jam was inspired by legendary Kadongo Kamu artist the late Christopher Ssebaduka, who is credited for mastering this genre by relying only on one acoustic guitar as instrumentation.

“Ogenda is another one of the many revolutionary songs…shows some of the atrocities being committed on the people of Uganda. The video is based on true events that have happened in the recent past. It highlights the continuing human rights violations, lawlessness and abuse of democracy,” Bobi Wine said, dedicating the song to the president whom he refers to as “Dictator Museveni”.
The video consists of clips documenting alleged police brutality against Ugandans over the years. It features renowned producer Sir. Dan Magic and fellow artist Yung Mullo who make appearances in the video.
