‘Izolo’ is the most popular hit in the album. It was the first song that she released a video on after releasing the album. However, Zahara had three major controversies in the year:
Tipsy Video
Sometime in July, Zahara set tongues wagging after appearing in a clip drunk. Netizens made her a subject of debate after she supposedly appeared tipsy at a party and all she did was hum beautifully to lyrics on the background. She later clarified that she had had just one bottle of wine and she was conscious enough because she knows her limits already. She has had a drinking problem in the past following the death of her brother sometime back.

In an interview with Sunday Times in December 2020, she warmed hearts after putting up a strong show of resilience after battling alcoholism for years. Her brother’s brutal murder thrust her into depression which made her drink to feel happy and battle loneliness. And before long, she ended up an alcoholic.
December alleged tipsy performance
On December 5, 2021, she was yet again the talk of the town after showing up for a performance appearing drunk. In a video that went viral on Twitter, she sounded off key when performing her hit single ‘Ndiza’. A section of South Africans online asked her to go to rehab before the situation spirals out of control. This was the second purported incident that dogged her in the last four months.
Tax feud
In November 2021, the ‘Izolo’ hit maker was again in the limelight after police moved to execute a warrant of arrest against her. Zahara had a bumpy time with the government over unpaid tax from her enterprise – much of it being music-related. According to Sunday World, she fell behind her payment forcing a Johannesburg court to issue a warrant of arrest against her.
Johannesburg commercial crimes court in the Palm Ridge magistrate's court issued the arrest warrant after the ‘Loliwe’ singer failed to appear in court. She was sued for failing to file her personal tax returns.
