Diana Bahati Explains Why She Joined the Music Scene as a Rapper

Celebrated Kenyan content creator, now musician Diana Bahati has opened up on why she decided to join the music industry as a rapper and not a singer.

Speaking during an interview on NTV’s The Trend, Diana noted that she does not have a singing voice, thus the decision to try her luck with rapping.

She narrated an instance when she attempted singing and it backfired, prompting netizens to launch an attack on her.

“You know the first time I hit the studio, I did a remix of his song ‘One and Only’ and guys attacked me…I cannot sing,” she said why asked why she opted to join the industry as a rapper.

So far, Diana has already released two songs ‘Hatuaachani’ and ‘One Day’.

Despite being criticized by netizens, her songs are doing well and have been receiving crazy numbers on YouTube.
