Mdundo staff member releases mixtape!!

Underground rapper Jakaqu of Spades, who also happens to be a staff member at Mdundo, this morning released his debut mixtape titled Rugged N' Raw.

The mixtape which the guy has been working on for close to two months now, I can attest to that due to his absence in office every now and then, is a hip hop collection and as he revealed to Mdundo he is very ecstatic about it.

“This is my first mixtape and I basically want to let guys know how Jakaqu sounds. I'm very proud and feel so good about it," Jakaqu told Mdundo.

He further went on to say, “I did put a lot of effort on it because I wanted something people would relate to."

Jakaqu, here at the office we call him Peter, has been active since 2010 but has remained underground.

He says he chose hip hop as his genre of music since he grew up with Hip-hop and felt it was only necessary for him to represent the genre in the Kenyan music scene.

“As an artist I feel that I’m unique because my music is very different and I know any hip hop head out there will love and relate to my music," that's him again.

Currently he is working on collaborations with some of Kenya’s top artists that should be out before the end of the year.
