The Recording Academy on November 23 officially announced nominees for its  64th annual awards set to be held on the 31st January  2022, in Los Angeles California. Among the acts who made the cut is Ghana's legend Rocky Dawuni.

The Afro-fusion highlife artist has been nominated in the Best Global Music Album category courtesy of his April released album, ‘Voice of Bunbon Vol.1’. Rocky will go head-on with Angélique Kidjo - Mother Nature, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti - Legacy +, Wizkid - Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition and Daniel Ho & Friends - East West Players Presents: Daniel Ho & Friends Live in Concert.

The nomination is Rocky's second Grammy Awards nomination as he had earlier made a debut to the nomination list in 2016 for the Best Reggae Album with his highly-rated  ‘Branches Of the Same Tree’ album.

Celebrating this great achievement, M.anifest gave the Legend a shout out via his Twitter page. ‘Congratulations to Rocky Dawuni on your # Grammys nomination. Good music isn't Chan Chan.’ the tweet reads.
