Music promoter Abel Black has a load of wisdom nuggets for all upcoming artists. He says that all budding artists must know that the system is set up against them and this takes up a lot of their finances.

Abel says this is something he realized was wrong from the start, but many upcoming artists never realize that there was a limit to how far a young artist could go and where they could be accepted.

However, his entry to the music industry was driven by this noble course; to right the wrongs and help these artists. Abel opined that every artist should know there is so much more to music than creating banger hits.

“You see, there’s more to this career than just making great music. If you make great music then you’ve already realized this. Music isn’t everything,” he advises.

“There’s branding, there’s PR, there’s strategy, there’s distribution, there’s budgets, there’s business and there’s relationships. And a whole lot more!” he added.

“Work ethic; if you are lazy you won’t go far. Change; embrace change. Everything changes. Loyalty: Be loyal to those who will assist you on your path.”
