The Kenyan Hip-hop scene is one of the most brutal and hardest genres to break into as an artist. However, Kenya’s hip hop industry has now gone a little notch higher, and is currently a very exciting time for local hip-hop with the emergence of impressive rappers.

Some of these include but not limited to Elycent a fast-rising Kenyan rapper known for his debut single ‘Hip Hop is Back’ which was released in 2018 and is highly revered for his diction, lyrical abilities and astounding rap flows. 

The fast-rising Kenyan rapper hailing from Mombasa has officially released his latest single dubbed ‘26 Going Up’ after releasing his first EP OFF HILL this year. 

26 Going Up talks about the new age that he had just turned in October 2021 and the new phase of creativity, learning a lot about being real and authentic. Apart from telling his fans that he is 26, he is also letting them know the type of music he will be making from now on.

The song was produced by Pro Lil from One Blood Production and the video was shot by Bullet Shots.

The Mombasa-based rapper has worked with industry giants including Kenyan renowned music producer Riccobeatz. He has created a huge following over the past 3 years and is widely recognized for his unique flow and flawless delivery.
