Speaking during an interview with UNCUT, Quex who’s currently awaiting his graduation in November 2021, noted that he almost gave up his dream of being a medical doctor because his passion for music collided with his job.

"I was about to drop out of school. I had four music invitations abroad and I had to make that hard decision. But God helped me and brought Covid to help me study and finish. Never know this is where my chances lie,” he said.

He further noted that being a celebrity has affected his studies since some fans stalk him up to school, thus making him lose focus.

"It happened to me a lot in Jinja and the attention almost got to me. What helped me was that my university was so good. I could be at the ward and people start taking photos of me out of nowhere. When they saw that I was overwhelmed and couldn't do my job well, they transferred me to Hoima and I thank them so much for supporting me and my talent. They never judged me," Quex said.
