She shared news of being welcomed heartily to Miami in a televised broadcast where Commissioner Wardson and Joe Carollo handed her keys to the city and proclaimed her as a distinguished visitor.

Nomcebo who completed her Switzerland tour a few days ago before flying to the US said this was the best welcome for her first visit to the US.

“Being honoured by the city of Miami, US. Commissioner Wardson and @joecarollonow honoured me on my 1st visit to America, to the state of Florida and to the City of Miami. I was then declared as a distinguished visitor and presented with the keys to the city.

“I am so grateful to receive such a prestigious welcome from the city and to see how proud they are of an artist who comes all the way from KZN, South Africa and sings in isiZulu,” she said.

This comes despite parting ways with Master KG who she made with the ‘Jerusalema’ hit song.

Master KG has been performing ‘Jerusalema’ with Zanda Zakuza – of Open Mic Productions – and not Nomcebo. However, Nomcebo maintains that she has nothing personal against Master KG.
