Rebbeca, who is both the writer and producer of ‘Hatua Kwa Hatua’ said  the single is an encouragement to the Christian community to move a step at a time, in their journey of knowing God.

According to her, the idea resonated as a result of numerous anti-church  opinions circulating online.

“I was on social media and was reading some posts, and what struck me at that moment is that there are very compelling and eloquent opinions that are anti-christ. It’s very confusing if you are open to all those voices,” she said.

She further hopes that ‘Hatua Kwa Hatua’ will bring forth the realization to the born again that the journey to God’s glory is covered by a magnitude across the globe in a step-by-step process.

On the other hand, Mercy is in hopes that the single will touch people’s lives differently.
