Ghanaian ‘Afro Roots’ icon, Rocky Dawuni, has noted that the slow pace of growth of Ghana Music is a resulting cause of disunity and inefficient investments.

Speaking in a recent interview with Franky 5 on Hitz FM’s ‘This is Gospel’, Sunday, Rocky termed the progress as an 'internal battle'. He opines that even though the country is blessed with an array of talents, the sustenance institutions have for quite a while been lagging.

‘We are there artistically and talent-wise but we are not there collectively as one voice. What I mean is that we have individual talents who are all incredible and amazing but they’re all working individually through their own efforts to create that type of attention,’ Rocky said.

He further admitted the industry’s stakeholders flaws in harnessing the collective power in the creation of music in Ghana. In order for the industry to be at par with the rest of the globe, Rocky Dawuni advised in his words, "the combination of all elements representing what we have while defining certain sound that is authentic to us".
