Esther Chungu is now a household name in Zambia after she recently shared the stage with Coldplay in New York and performed her hit song ‘Jehovah’. At the Global Citizen Live concert in the U.S, she stole the moment as she let out her magical vocals in a set with Chris Martin as Coldplay did the instruments for her.

Off her’ Mubanga’ album is ‘Jehovah’; this is the songs she performed at Global Citizen Live and put Zambia’s gospel industry on the global map. She did ‘Jehovah’ in Bemba – Zambia’s native language.
Sangalala ft Pompi
In the song, she advises people not to stress themselves over relationships and marriage noting that God is always in control and has a plan for everything under the sun. She describes her marriage to Pompi as something she cannot let the enemy take away from her which is why she trusts in God’s timing.
Paka Paka ft james Sakala
Esther released this song featuring James Sakala in 2016. It is one of her biggest songs in her ‘Mubanga’ album. ‘Paka Paka’ was beautifully produced and speaks of originality all through.
Its Coming ft Chef 187
The thrill of this song is having Zambia’s top rapper Chef 187 on board. Esther did a gospel rap wrapped in scintillating beats reminiscent of Southern African tunes. Chef let’s out lyrics all fired up.
