2021 has been a good musical year for Yo Maps as his songs have been trending across the media and streaming platforms. However, his choice to do a campaign song for Patriotic Front (PF) party did not sit very well with a section of fans who argued that he should be impartial.

After composing campaign songs in collaboration with other top Zambian artists, rports emerged that some of the musicians were not paid.

Diamond TV presenter Dingindaba Jonah Buyoya without naming any artist, claimed he had received reports that some artists were begging for payment after delivering great campaign songs.

“Apart from not being paid their money, some of the artistes are complaining that after putting their careers on the line, they never even get invited to perform anywhere. They agreed on moneys, which are still nowhere to be seen,” he tweeted.
