She may be beyond talented but never lets that get to her head by making sure the stone rolls even up hill. It is no surprise then that she won the Bingwa ever relevant award at the recently held Bingwa Awards and the 17th spot on Mdundo's most downloaded artists of 2014. She needs no introduction, ladies and gentlemen, meet Grandpa signee, Avril.
She may have recently joined Mdundo but she beat time itself by gathering over 1000 downloads in just the second billing period alone! With a couple of songs and hits to her name, music enthusiasts cannot get enough of her. From ‘Mama’ to her top grossing single alongside singer Marya, ‘Chokoza’, she keeps on surprising the world with her nature to shed skin and sing better every time. Her brief hiatus in 2013 reminded the world why her voice was something the Kenyan industry gravely needed and when she came back with ‘Nikimuona’, the world did nothing but embraced her.
