As we move closer to the end of September, Ugandan artists are busy releasing new music every other day. Some of these songs make it to the top, while other struggle for airplay. In this article; we review 5 artists with some of the biggest songs in Uganda ta the moment:
Slow Dancing - Azawi
This masterpiece is a perfect blend of Afrobeat and Reggae creating a nice mix that is guaranteed to get your groove back on. Slow Dancing comes as Azawi's second music project off her upcoming album set to be released on Independence Day.
Oluvanyuma - Zulitums
This love ballad has been dominating people's charts mainly because of the emotions Zulitums invested in it. In the song, he encourages those in love to take it one step at a time if they are to get a happy ending. With this song, you can't fail to appreciate Zulitums' authenticity. He is filled with emotions and feelings, perfectly bringing out the message in the song.
Tupaate Remix - Pia Pounds Ft. Eddy Kenzo and MC Africa
‘Tupaate’ is a feel good song calling upon party lovers to join the party. The song wasn’t a hit until MC Africa recorded himself jamming to it. The massive reception prompted Eddy Kenzo to jump on the remix that is now trending countrywide.
Omwana Wabandi - Daddy Andre
Daddy Andre pours his heart out to his woman who he believes he can't leave without. You may not mind the lyrics, but the dancehall beats in the song will definitely get you playing the song over and over again. The audio was produced by Daddy Andre while the video was a collaborative effort between Daddy Andre and Jay Oscar.
Thank God - Vinka
Vinka took a break from music to embrace her new journey of motherhood with her new bundle of joy. She recently returned to the music scene with this banger. ‘Thank God’ is an Afro-pop track produced by Tanzanian producer Lizer from Wasafi Records.
