Renowned Kenyan artist Nviiri the Storyteller has revealed how he secured a collabo with KiDi for his latest song dubbed ‘Falling’. Speaking during an interview with The Trend on NTV, Nviiri said everything worked through divine intervention and being at the right place at the right time.
Diving deeper, he explained that he was in the studio working on a song, when someone suggested that he collaborates with KiDi on the project.
“I was in the studio working on something then someone who knows his team from Beatz and Vibez ended up suggesting KiDi for this song. And at first I thought it was a joke until we got on a video call with Richie. That's when I knew ‘Oh this the real deal’,” he said.
Two days after the video call, he sent out the entire song to KiDi’s team so that he could add his verse.
Revealing his thrill when he first heard KiDi’s verse in ‘Falling’, Nviiri expressed joy with how KiDi took it upon himself to deliver top-notch work even though it was just a collabo, adding that he was really honored to work with him.
“You know when you feel like an artist has really put his all into a project and it’s a collabo, I was honored. But now I understand why his sound has always been RnB, that's why he connected with it. I thought I was just trying to get him into the RnB vibe, ooh woe unto us, I was just bringing him back home, ” he added.
Meanwhile, ‘Falling’ which dropped a few days ago is currently flying high on YouTube and has already garnered thousands of views in just a short amount of time.
‘Falling’ is an emotional song which captures the emotional turmoil that one goes through when they experience unrequited love.
