South African Musician Cassper Nyovest has hinted at dropping a new Hip-hop jam despite switching over to Amapiano.

In a post on his socials, he noted that he is open to doing one Hip-hop jam for his fans. This comes a few days after he claimed that South African Hip-hop has “gatekeepers” who he argued restrict the type of content.

He claimed that the the presence of “gatekeepers” in South African Hip-hop is the main reason why he looked the Yano way and is now riding on the Amapiano wave that “has no gatekeepers”.

“The one thing I love about Amapiano is that there are no gatekeepers. Ha gona bosso (there is no boss). It's either your song is hot or it's not,” he told ZALebs.

On Wednesday, he softened his stance, stating that he is impressed by the Hip-hops charts he is seeing and might just drop a new Hip-hop hit.
