Pierra Makena Event Saga

Celebrated Kenyan Deejay Pierra Makena made headlines this weekend after she was allegedly thrown out of her own event in Meru. Taking to Instagram to explain the ordeal, Pierra narrated that authorities showed up at her event and instructed her to leave. They reportedly allowed the event to proceed after she had left.  “Authorities were sent to close my event. The only explanation they had was kuna covid. I asked if they know that I curated my event to fit the new normal and they said they have been told not to allow me thats it..mkubwa amesema.,” part of her post on Instagram read.

Mejja and Breeder Performances at JKUAT

In other news, Mejja and Breeder delivered groundbreaking performances at an event held in Jomo Kenyatta University College of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) last Friday. Taking to Instagram to post snippets of their lit performances, Mejja and Breeder expressed appreciation for the love and support that they received in JKUAT. “Jana Usiku JKUAT Ilikuwa AJaab I Appreciate The Energy,”Mejja posted, with Breeder adding, “Maad Love for Papa Fathela hapo Jkuat Shukran!”

Nadia Mukami Celebrates Sevens Creative Hub Achievement

Nadia Mukami’s management Sevens Creative Hub successfully produced their first song for an upcoming artist who goes by the name Teshi. Taking to Instagram to celebrate her team’s great achievement, Nadia reposted a snippet of the new jam by Teshi dubbed ‘Nitaenda’ on her Instagram feed, as she informed her fans that this was the teams’ first song to produce. “Sevens Creative Hub Presents Nitaenda by Teshi @teshiii_ This is his First song done by us at our studios @sevenscreative_hub and doing amazing on YouTube!” she posted.

Collo Mfalme ‘Kenya Hakuna Music Industry’

Veteran Kenyan artist Collo Mfalme this weekend left many Kenyans in shock after openly citing that Kenya does not have a music industry. Speaking during an interview with Mseto East Africa, in which seasoned journalist Mzazi Willy Mtuva had asked him to give an honest opinion on the state of the Kenyan music industry, Collo said that Kenya only has a music and entertainment scene, not an industry. “Number one Kenya haina industry ikona music na entertainment scene. Yaani kuna scene, kuna vitu zinafanyika but industry bado,” he said.
