Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress, and activist Yemi Alade has released a new music video for the single 'Rain' off her recent album 'Empress' released in 2020. The record features South Africa's Mzansi Youth Choir.

Directed by Ovie Etseyatse the visual is colourful  and features some eye-catching choreography while also showcasing beautiful sceneries from the top of the hill where the video is shot. 

Yemi Alade also used this video to showcase Africa's diverse cultures through costumes.

'Rain' is a thoughtful song in which the 32-year-old singer who won the Peak Talent Show in 2009 passes the message of Africa being one people under the sun.

This is the eighth music video that Yemi Alade has released off the 15-track album that features guest appearances from two French Dadju and Vegedream, her colleagues from Nigeria, Patoranking and Rudeboy while others are British Grammy-winning singer Estelle and Mzansi Youth Choir from South Africa.

Other videos already released include the lead singles 'Boyz' and 'True Love', 'Dancina', 'I Choose You',  'Temptation', 'Deceive' and 'Turn Up'.

The 'Empress' album, which is Yemi Alade's fifth, incorporates elements of gospel music, Coupé-décalé, soul, pop, dancehall, and highlife. Watch Yemia Alade new video for Rain below: -
