Forgive me if I sound repetitive, but I maintain, good music transcends language. Ask Kenyan vernacular songbird, Suzanna Owiyo: The one lady who took patois on to the national stage and made it sound cool! She showed the rest of the dialect music acts who had preserved themselves only to local radio stations, that the world is too big. Now, she has just released the first single, ‘Wamiel’ off her upcoming album.
Produced by hailed producer Fancy Fingers and directed by the magic hands of Enos Olik, this piece I personally like to call the holy trinity of music; great artist, great producer and the perfect director.
