Celebrated Kenyan artist Bahati has released a new jam dubbed ‘Pete Yangu’ featuring Nadia Mukami. ‘Pete Yangu’ is off Bahati’s debut album dubbed ‘Love Like This’.

‘Pete Yangu’ is a Swahili phrase which translates to ‘My Ring’. In this celebration song, Bahati equates his lover to his wedding ring. The visuals which were creatively shot and edited, take us through the whole process of a traditional African wedding featuring Bahati and Nadia as the main cast.
Taking to his Instagram to announce the premiere of the new jam, Bahati teased his fans with some lyrics from ‘Pete Yangu’. “Kasura Pia, Nako Ulipokea @nadia_mukami Naona Mungu Kaku'Pendelea,” he captioned.

‘Pete Yangu’ has been received well and is currently trending on YouTube at number seven with over 200,000 views.
Meanwhile, Bahati is also trending at number one on YouTube with his previous hit song ‘Fikra Za Bahati’ which he released last week.
The jam which has elicited different reactions from netizens since its premiere six days ago, expounds on different controversial topics in the Kenyan music industry. Some of those topics include; the hypocrisy of Christians, differences between him and other artists today, his music journey as well as his growth in artistic expression.
