Shatta Wale, who had earlier on apologized for his actions, admitted that he was not above the Ghanaian law and that if he had committed any crime, he would have been already arrested.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Shatta explained that his actions were prompted by the road contractors not extending the road to his office, giving people within that locality a good road network.
He said, "There were policemen there; if I did anything wrong, I should be arrested. No one is above the law in Ghana. So I have done this to my area, fought for my people in the area so we can get a good road; what is wrong with it?"
