Renowned Kenyan Group Mbogi Genje has come out in defence of Trio Mio; a week after Gotta City dissed him during an interview with the Kipawa podcast. Speaking to the same podcaster who had interviewed Trio and Gotta City, Smady described Trio as a talented youth who should not be fought but uplifted for standing out in today’s music scene.

“Si kama Mbogi Genje, we always stay on the positive, sa mi mtu ka Trio Mio unapata ni youth ame come out, amestand out, huyo si mtu unafaa kufight. Huyo ni mtu unafaa ku uplift ka wewe ni mtu enyewe huko hapa kwa society kusaidia,” he said.

Smady also fired back at Gotta City for making fun of Trio Mio’s lyrics and voice during their interview, insisting that every human being is born with their own uniqueness.

“Lakini sa unapata msee anamkulia moto, ju labda lyrics zake ni fire, ama sauti yake, unajua kila mtu amezaliwa na kila kitu. Umeumbwa tu kiwewe huwezi kuwa ka mtu mwingine. Sa mi naeza sema jo hiyo ni ufala, kwanza kitu walidu ni umbwakni,” he expounded.

On top of defending Trio, Smady and his mates also accused Gotta city of stealing their lyrics, adding that Mbogi Genje stood out of the park due to their originality.

“Na hizi terms wanatumia kwanza wametoa kwa MG jo mtakoma sawa, mkae kiradhi mi ndo kichaa, na daily nitawafunza. Kazi yao ni copy pasting, unaona venye unaeza copy kitu kwa comp yako, hiyo ndo kitu wanafanya. Sa unajua lakini huwezi last, ju si unapata ka MG, si jo tumestay original, vile tumesurvive kwa streets hivohivo ndio tunaimbaga, si huwaga watrue,” he added.

The re-emergence of this old-time beef between Madocho and Mbogi Genje was reignited after the Kipawa podcast uploaded Trio Mio’s interview video, three weeks ago, where he picked Mbogi Genje over Gotta City.

“Mi natambua mbwegze, unajua mbwegze kwanza kuna huyu jamaa anaitwa Smady, huyu Smady jo kwanza tumetoka far na yeye. Hata akiskia hapa tu ye anajua, bro ya Agatha, huyu msee namjua kwanzia kitambo, so mi natambua mbwegze,” he said.

Following Trio's remarks, Madocho and the other members of Gotta City had an interview with the same podcast, and fired back at Trio, with Madocho mocking Trio’s voice and insisting that Gotta City does not hang around small children like him.

“Unadigi riang ni gani, riang nisisi hatubanjagi na pikin waroko, unakemba, ju bado kale kapik kana sauti ningri ya kiseba,” he fired at Trio.
