Young Herman Celebrates 50K Followers on Instagram

Mukombe Mupelo alias Herman, the 14-year-old who stunned Zimbabwe with ‘Zvandofarira’ has hit 50,000 followers on Instagram. The young man who has since become a music star in Zimbabwe thanked his fans for the support.

“Much grateful to your love, blessings and appreciation in such a short period of time. Thank you so very much for the continued support of me and my platform,” he wrote on Instagram.

His debut song ‘Zvandofarira’ was released in October 2020. It left a mark of success as it managed to clock one million views on YouTube in four months.

The message on the song was the huge appetite for women, drugs and other ills in the world which are all vanity in the end.

He first released ‘Zvandofarira’ as a freestyle version then it caught the eye of DJ Levels who is a revered producer in the country.

In April, he was awarded a full scholarship by Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnagagwa due to his talent and creativity.

Herman stole the show as he entertained at a children’s party which the President and the First Lady had hosted. There were over 50 pupils from different schools across the 10 provinces. They were celebrating the country’s Independence Day.
