Speaking during a parliamentary session, Mwana FA noted that the Tanzanian Parliament should dispel the notion that most musicians are earning more money from YouTube. According to Mwana FA, YouTube ranks as the lowest paying platform when it comes to music streaming.

The rapper added that lawmakers should focus on streaming music earnings in the country rather than focusing on clamping down the sector.

He further noted that most musicians are losing more money on YouTube because the country has no known content aggregators.

He challenged the government to come up with laws to protect musicians on YouTube. The MP said the government needs to set up a tax scheme for YouTube, just like in the United States.

Mwana FA appealed to the relevant ministry to establish a special body that will cater to streaming revenues because the country is losing on the sector.
