The fast-approaching Zambian general election continues to elicit varied reactions from Zambian artistes with the latest one being Umusepela Chile.

Be Encouraged by Psalms 118:14

In a Facebook post, Umusepela urged Zambian musician to be careful with the music they produce especially during the electioneering period when the mood is tensed.

“Music is not a business it is a source of hope in various situations. Let’s use it wisely…it can either build or destroy a nation if we are not careful,” he posted on Facebook.

A section of netizens who share his sentiments seconded him saying that money offered by politicians is tempting and not many artistes have the powers to turn the offer down.

“This man is trying to talk about those pipo (sic) doing campaign songs. Just of the little money they are giving them but they are not considering the money they have stolen from them and the money they are allowing them to continue getting. These pipo they are influential so now I understand that us Zambians we get excited when we are given Money at once which will do nothing compared to that person getting back after putting him in that position. #bamwankole let's wake up,” Hastings Misha said.

“Its business the truth is u can’t just say yes to every deal because certain deals have the potential to destroy you as trader,” Journas Tripple Seven Kaunda added.
