Fast-rising Ugandan artist Eezzy has teamed up with popular DJ Ali Breezy on a new jam titled 'Abeggume'.

In ‘Abeggume' (loosely translated from Luganda to mean ‘Big headed people'), Eezzy literally snitches on party lovers who still go to bars despite them being closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He wonders how party lovers manage to hop from one bar to another past curfew time without being arrested by the police for breaching the set guidelines.

For him, he says he’ll stay indoors and enjoy his drink as he waits for the official re-opening of bars.

‘Abeggume’ generally encourages Ugandans to adhere to the set guidelines so that spread of the virus can be controlled, and as such, the government may re-open bars and other entertainment joints.

Last year, Eezzy released 'Tumbizza Sound'; a song that appeared to defy Ministry of Health directives on Covid-19.

The song introduced him to the scene, but unfortunately, it was banned by the authorities who argued that it was misleading.

On his part, DJ Ali Breezy is the brain behind most of the popular mix tapes in the country. 'Ride Pon It’ featuring dancehall artist Beenie Gunter was his first collaboration with an artist.

With 'Abeggume' Ali Breezy hopes that it will help him secure more collaborations with Ugandan artists.
