Vaga Vybz Opens Up on Inspiration Behind his ‘No Bad Mind’ Song

In March 2021, Rwandan reggae star Vaga Vybz released positivity-filled song ‘No Bad Mind’ featuring Ugandan star My Styles.

For Vaga Vybz, this song is a show of good friendship that has defied time. Vaga Vybz attended high school with Mr Styles and they had their first studio session together back in 2004.
Sixteen years later, the two teamed up once more and recorded a blazing song.

“More than 16 years later, we are still connecting,” he told Mdundo in an exclusive interview.
“We feel positivity is what people need to feel. We are in a situation where everyone needs positive energy from whenever they can get it from friends, from the media itself. We need to uplift the people,” he said why explaining what inspired ‘No Bad Mind’.

‘No Bad Mind’ is a song about positivity in life even when you face storms such as the Covid-19 pandemic which has negatively influenced the economy of Rwanda. A struggling economy means thousands of livelihoods are struggling and hope could be lost in the process.
Vybz in the song speaks of love and thanksgiving for the little pleasures of life such as being able to breathe and being in good health.
