Macky 2 Hits New Milestone after Securing 500K Instagram Followers

Zambian Hip-hop star Macky 2 is celebrating a great milestone having clocked 500,000 followers on his Instagram page.

The spike in the number of followers is thanks to ‘Zambian Hip Hop History’ campaign led by Chanda Mbao.

Chanda Mbao started a series on his YouTube page recently where he explores the evolution and successes, he, together with other hip hop artistes in Zambia have been a part of.

He says this is part of his effort to change the hip hops genre by making it better and furnishing Zambians with the right knowledge about its evolution to what it is today.

“I'm trying to do my part to change that in my little corner (Zambian Hip-Hop). Let's remember our achievements and let us celebrate them! Hopefully, this spirit can extend to all walks of Zambian music and Zambian life as well and can encourage other similar projects to highlight what we have accomplished as people,” he posted on his Instagram page.

Fellow artistes lauded his major milestone. Slapdee posted “Big up homie! New win for the Zed!” Mampi said “Congratulations my bro.” Roberto added: “More blessings. More Wins.”
