Nadia Mukami and Tanasha Donna are arguably Kenya’s top female artists in the music scene today. Both artists have invested and mastered their art to give quality singles and collaborations which have kept them at top of their game. Nadia is popularly known for her hit singles like ‘Si Rahisi’, and ‘Radio Love’, featuring Arrow Bwoy while Tanasha is best known for ‘Gere’ featuring Diamond Platnumz, ‘La Vie’ featuring Mbosso, ‘Sawa’ and many more hits.

Awards and Nominations

Nadia has more awards and nominations as compared to Tanasha. She won the Female Video of the Year Award for Pulse Music Video Awards in 2019. She has also previously been nominated in Hipipo Awards for her song ‘Radio Love’ under The Best Kenyan Act category. In addition, she is currently nominated for the upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards for the Best Fanbase Award. On the other hand, Tanasha was nominated for the Best New Act Star at the Star QT Awards in 2019, as well as The Best Female Artist East Africa at the AFRIMMA Awards in 2020.

EPs and Albums

Nadia and Tanasha both launched their debut EPs last year. Tanasha launched hers at the Sarit Centre Expo on January 31, 2020, while Nadia dropped her EP on October 12, 2020. Despite the pandemic, the two EPs were received well by fans who streamed through various streaming platforms.

Tanasha and Nadia have both been uploading most of their music on YouTube which is very convenient and accessible to many Kenyans. Tanasha’s channel which was launched on 26th May 2014 has a total of 21,060,401 views. Meanwhile, Nadia’s channel which was launched on 19th May 2017 has 39,073,524 views in total.

Both artists have had a fair share of collaborations with Top African artists. Nadia has had successful collaborations with renowned artists including Sanaipei Tande who featured in her hit song ‘Wangu’ Otile Brown, Masauti, Khaligraph Jones, Fena Gitu, and many more.
