South Africa's Emtee releases 'Logan' Album

Emtee, a South African rapper and producer, has released his fourth studio album, LOGAN. The 16-track album follows on the heels of his recent singles "Laqasha" and "Waves," which left fans clamoring for more. Lolli Native, J Smash, Gwamba, Moozlie, and Flash Ikumkani are among the trap trailblazers who contribute to this stellar body of work.
The album's first two tracks, "Johustleburg" from May of last year and "iThemba" from earlier this year, set the tone for the rest of the album. 'Long Way,' a heartwarming love song that could melt even the toughest heart, is one of my instant favorites. "Logan," the album's title track, is a moving tribute to fatherhood; "Saam Sokol," featuring Moozlie, and "Come Closer," featuring J Smash, are both worth listening to.
Nasty C moved by Emtee's 'Ithemba'
Emtee had been releasing hit singles from LOGAN for almost a year prior to the album's official release, beginning with "Brand New Day" and ending in May 2020 with "Johustleburg." "Waves," a single with accompanying visuals, was released at the start of this year, accompanied by "iThemba" and "Laqasha."
Simply put, LOGAN is an uplifting hip-hop treat based on the rapper's personal and musical experiences. Emtee has had to weather several storms after parting ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2019 — after just four years with the label.
